FEEDBACK

After School Academies

EDWARD (9)       At ‘Learning Through Drama’ you can showcase your talents at shows every term.  I also love all the theatre trips we go on together.

OLLY (10)           I like ‘Learning Through Drama’ because everyone in the group gets a chance to join in and contribute to the drama.

ALEX (8)            I really enjoy ‘Learning Through Drama’ because you never get bored and everyone gets to join in with the fun.

LUCY (9)            I love using lots of energy and making lots of new friends at the ‘Learning Through Drama’ academy.

Grandparents Day

NIAMH (10)                I loved the Grandparents celebration, it was so special for us all because our grandmas and granddads don’t often get invited into school.

ELEANOR (9)      I enjoyed Grandparents day because it wad a great opportunity to find out lots of interesting facts about everyone’s grandmas and granddads.

School Holiday Workshops

LILY (8)             My favourite part of the workshop was performing ‘The Devoted Friend’ because we all looked fabulous with costumes, face paints and props – we proved that we could develop a show in just three days!

JOSHUA (8)                I liked ‘The Name Game’ where we had to think of a job we would like to do beginning with the same letter as our name and act it out for the others to guess.

EMMA (8)           It’s good to do something active in the school holidays and learn lots of new acting skills and games, my favourite of which is ‘Cross This Space’.

Thanksgiving Day

ZOE (10)            I liked the Thanksgiving project because as well as doing the drama we learned all about native American civilisations.

LILY (9)             The Thanksgiving show was great fun because I had a nice Red Indian costume and I enjoyed making my own head-dress.

AMY (9)             In the Thanksgiving Show I had the opportunity to play my flute in front of an audience.  I thought it went really well and it brought on my confidence.

Book weeks

The pupils’ said…

‘I really enjoyed the Roald Dahl workshop and I wish I could experience it again. I think it was fun and a chance to let our imaginations flow in an energetic way. Also, it is different to what we usually do at school so it was a change.’

‘I liked the Roald Dahl workshop because the games we played were all to do with the characters from the story. Plus I liked the idea of people sat in the hot seat pretending to be a character from the book.’

‘It was brilliant! I enjoyed it. I loved being jack’s grumpy mum. I liked the beginning where I had to stand up and say my name and act out my favourite thing. I liked the way Miss Robinson told the story. She made it fun.’

‘I think the workshop was really good. I liked the bit where we made up a dance. It was good. I thought that it was the best lesson in year three.'

‘All the children were kept focused and enjoyed the variety of movements. The story was familiar with the children and their interest held by a very experienced teacher. I feel that the shy children of the class gained a lot of confidence from the workshop.’

‘I thought the workshop was excellent. The children responded well to the activities and were all willing to get involved. I’d love it to be a yearly arrangement!’

‘A super session. The level was pitched exactly right for year 1 pupils and all the children found it very enjoyable. I myself enjoyed seeing an expert take a drama lesson, it was good for ideas.’

‘The session was well planned and Helen had a good grasp of the childrens’ interests and attention spans. The children were engaged and interacting for the entire session. I enjoyed it very much.’
